Music from Ivory Coast is one of most interesting for me. Coupe decale musik genre arose as the unique mix of difrent genres, and was influenced by lot of music styles that  the musicians from different parts of  Africa ( in many cases from countries like Kongo and Cameroon ) brought with them to Ivory Coast, thats largest city Abidjan was once called Paris of west Africa for its cosmopolitan culture. It is said that Doug Saga is a creator of coupe decale but this would be simplification.
Doug Saga and his follower just cooked a very dancy style from different music genres in the Abidjan music melting pot.
Its not a zouglou, its not a soukouss, its not a ndombolo, its not a zouk, its not a soca, its not a western music ( and its all of it :) ) ......its  coupe decale
